Hand-in hand with very authentic, gritty, almost-documentary-like film making of a post-apocalyptic world, the story also seems to miss some vital contextual details (why the hell is England the last hope of humanity, anyway?) that otherwise would have given the story the intellectual and emotional punch it so desperately needed. Grade: C+
