My European Trip

So for a while, I've been planning a trip to Europe. The main purpose was to watch two separate Juventus games. One in London and one in Turin, northern Italy. The secondary purpose was to sneak a visit to Monte Carlo. Always wanted to see the French Riviera.

Since the first game was in London, on the 7th of March, 2018, that's the day I landed in Heathrow.

landing in Heathrow

The flight from Tel Aviv took about 5 hours. I landed, didn't have to pick up my luggage since I only brought one 60L backpack that was with me on the plane. From there, a ride to the hotel, Victoria Inn.

It's a nice enough place, I suppose. A small coffee making station, a cozy double bed (even if you're alone) and constant heating that can be subdued with a knob. Decent bathroom with a platform shower.

We had to get ready for the game - Tottenham Hotspurs vs Juventus Turin. The first game, in Italy, ended 2:2, which meant we (Juventus, that is) better win if we wish to progress to the quarter finals of the UEFA champions league, but we still had a few hours to kill before we had to get to Wembley stadium, on the other side of London. We would have to take the Tube (London's underground trains) to get there, and unfortunately, change trains midway.

Add that to the fact that the tube would be jampacked with people, most wanting to go to the same game, and it's a recipe for getting felt up. Like a lot.

I knew it'd be better if I didn't show up hungry for the game, because getting a bite to eat in that commotion is all but hopeless, so I got some Burger King from the near Victoria train station.

That's part 1. Stay tuned for the second.
